Air and instrument temperature affect tuning. Warm up by blowing through the instrument several times before playing.
Proper Mouthpiece Placement
Position the mouthpiece to cover ¾ of the neck cork and moisten the reed to achieve the correct tone.
Tune Your Saxophone
If the pitch is sharp, pull the mouthpiece slightly away from the neck. If it’s flat, push it further onto the neck.
